Hellohh 109'10! :D I love the classtee by Annabelle! (: i'm sorry i haven't been helping to keep this blog ever so alive as Valchee said so because i've been @ COcamp the whole of today and @ SportsFest just like all of you on Thursday. I thought it was cool and hahaha I love having all these "firsts" first COcamp, first LibraryServicecamp, first SportsFest, first RGclasstee, first batch of classmates in secondaryschool. :D

class outing

hi 109!
me hasn't posted for very long!!! nvm the class blog is still aliveeeee. bout class outing. ice skating+bowling+arcade+cinema+subway=same place (kallang leisure park)=onli place in sg with an ice skating rink! otherwise go ECP! ECP=rollerblading (similar to ice skating but NOT AS FUN!!!!)+cycling+barbecue+any random games+picnic+fly kite!!!
ppl all must support ICE SKATING! poof. but some ppl's parents dont allow cos they think its UNSAFE! but its perfectly safe ppl! n if u dunno how to ice skate ppl hu noe can teach n there r those bars which u can skate around with to maintain ur balance (if u dunno how to ice skate)!!! n its perfectly safe n SUPER FUN! n its nt tt ex [it was $15 last year (primary sch ezlink card) for 2h in the ice skating rink including rental of ice skates]!!!
oh n we have to bring gloves [the thin kind, nt those thick ones for minus temperatures for safety reasons (i think)] that is if u dun wanna buy new ones. wearing gloves is COMPULSORY. n also rmb to wear socks (cos u wont wanna put ur foot into tt stinky n dirty n wet pair of skates) but rmb to remove them aft taking off ur ice skates cos they'll be stinky n dirty n wet n u wont wanna put them in ur shoe! n bring a jacket (if u dun wanna wear long sleeves) cos it'll be cold (nt tt cold, but STILL). n wear covered clothing (long pants/jeans!).
n its advisable to go aft 1pm (and another time) cos it's ice resurfacing (or something liddat) time! will take bout 20min i think. it'll make the ice nice n more slippery. n if u go during tt time the 20min they take to do ice resurfacing will be counted in ur 2h! how unfair is tt.
i dunno why im telling u all this cos we're nt even confirmed going (n prob wont)! but nvm it's just in case so if u dun wanna die read it!

HI-five! we are in this together. wait. i dont think this is supposed to be encouraging. haha get the joke? its ok if you dont.... because it means that you are not stressed until you are crazy enough to laugh. but if you start laughing, means that you have a GREAT sense of humor!

How was your weekends uhh? (: whaha mine was great! I was surprisingly free even though I accidentally did the Chinese composition we didn’t have to do -.- how dumb of me. D: ohwell.
I’ve been watching drama and having fun bwahaha. :b I hope yall have been too because that’s what weekends are truly about anyway. :b heehee. I shouldn’t need to constantly remind you guys about the importance of having fun and taking a break. ): I sound like such a bad influence and slacker. Hoho, sorry guys.
Change subject. I can’t wait for Drama Concert and Handbells’ too! Hey 109'10 FTW!. Tomorrow's open house and TGIF ;) have a good rest like I always say every Friday. (: time really passes fast, it's open house once again. :b hahaha it seemed like yesterday when I first stepped into RGS :X

Inside every adult lurks a graduation speaker dying to get out, some world- weary pundit eager to pontificate on life to young people who'd rather be Rollerblading. Most of us, alas, will never be invited to sow our words of wisdom among an audience of caps and gowns, but there's no reason we can't entertain ourselves by composing a Guide to Life for Graduates.
I encourage anyone over 26 to try this and thank you for indulging my attempt.
Ladies and gentlemen of the class of '97:
Wear sunscreen.
If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it. The long-term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists, whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience. I will dispense this advice now.
Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth. Oh, never mind. You will not understand the power and beauty of your youth until they've faded. But trust me, in 20 years, you'll look back at photos of yourself and recall in a way you can't grasp now how much possibility lay before you and how fabulous you really looked. You are not as fat as you imagine.
Don't worry about the future. Or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubble gum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind, the kind that blindside you at 4 p.m. on some idle Tuesday.
Do one thing every day that scares you.
Sing.
Don't be reckless with other people's hearts. Don't put up with people who are reckless with yours.
Floss.
Don't waste your time on jealousy. Sometimes you're ahead, sometimes you're behind. The race is long and, in the end, it's only with yourself.
Remember compliments you receive. Forget the insults. If you succeed in doing this, tell me how.
Keep your old love letters. Throw away your old bank statements.

Don't feel guilty if you don't know what you want to do with your life. The most interesting people I know didn't know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives. Some of the most interesting 40-year-olds I know still don't.

Respect your elders.
Don't expect anyone else to support you. Maybe you have a trust fund. Maybe you'll have a wealthy spouse. But you never know when either one might run out.
Don't mess too much with your hair or by the time you're 40 it will look 85.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia. Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

The wallet
As I walked home one freezing day, I stumbled on a wallet someone had lost in the street. I picked it up and looked inside to find some identification so I could call the owner. But the wallet contained only three dollars and a crumpled letter that looked as if it had been in there for years.
The envelope was worn and the only thing that was legible on it was the return address. I started to open the letter, hoping to find some clue. Then I saw the dateline--1924. The letter had been written almost sixty years ago.
It was written in a beautiful feminine handwriting on powder blue stationery with a little flower in the left-hand corner. It was a "Dear John" letter that told the recipient, whose name appeared to be Michael, that the writer could not see him any more because her mother forbade it. Even so, she wrote that she would always love him. It was signed, Hannah.
It was a beautiful letter, but there was no way except for the name Michael, that the owner could be identified. Maybe if I called information, the operator could find a phone listing for the address on the envelope.
"Operator," I began, "this is an unusual request. I'm trying to find the owner of a wallet that I found. Is there anyway you can tell me if there is a phone number for an address that was on an envelope in the wallet?"
She suggested I speak with her supervisor, who hesitated for a moment then said, "Well, there is a phone listing at that address, but I can't give you the number." She said, as a courtesy, she would call that number, explain my story and would ask them if they wanted her to connect me. I waited a few minutes and then she was back on the line. "I have a party who will speak with you."
I asked the woman on the other end of the line if she knew anyone by the name of Hannah. She gasped, "Oh! We bought this house from a family who had a daughter named Hannah. But that was 30 years ago!"
"Would you know where that family could be located now?" I asked.
"I remember that Hannah had to place her mother in a nursing home some years ago," the woman said. "Maybe if you got in touch with them they might be able to track down the daughter."
She gave me the name of the nursing home and I called the number. They told me the old lady had passed away some years ago but they did have a phone number for where they thought the daughter might be living. I thanked them and phoned. The woman who answered explained that Hannah herself was now living in a nursing home.
This whole thing was stupid, I thought to myself. Why was I making such a big deal over finding the owner of a wallet that had only three dollars and a letter that was almost 60 years old?
Nevertheless, I called the nursing home in which Hannah was supposed to be living and the man who answered the phone told me, "Yes, Hannah is staying with us. "
Even though it was already 10 p.m., I asked if I could come by to see her. "Well," he said hesitatingly, "if you want to take a chance, she might be in the day room watching television."
I thanked him and drove over to the nursing home. The night nurse and a guard greeted me at the door. We went up to the third floor of the large building. In the day room, the nurse introduced me to Hannah.
She was a sweet, silver-haired old timer with a warm smile and a twinkle in her eye. I told her about finding the wallet and showed her the letter. The second she saw the powder blue envelope with that little flower on the left, she took a deep breath and said, "Young man, this letter was the last contact I ever had with Michael."
She looked away for a moment deep in thought and then said Softly, "I loved him very much. But I was only 16 at the time and my mother felt I was too young. Oh, he was so handsome. He looked like Sean Connery, the actor."
"Yes," she continued. "Michael Goldstein was a wonderful person. If you should find him, tell him I think of him often. And," she hesitated for a moment, almost biting her lip, "tell him I still love him. You know," she said smiling as tears began to well up in her eyes, "I never did marry. I guess no one ever matched up to Michael..."
I thanked Hannah and said goodbye. I took the elevator to the first floor and as I stood by the door, the guard there asked, "Was the old lady able to help you?"
I told him she had given me a lead. "At least I have a last name. But I think I'll let it go for a while. I spent almost the whole day trying to find the owner of this wallet."
I had taken out the wallet, which was a simple brown leather case with red lacing on the side. When the guard saw it, he said, "Hey, wait a minute! That's Mr. Goldstein's wallet. I'd know it anywhere with that bright red lacing. He's always losing that wallet. I must have found it in the halls at least three times."
"Who's Mr. Goldstein?" I asked as my hand began to shake.
"He's one of the old timers on the 8th floor. That's Mike Goldstein's wallet for sure. He must have lost it on one of his walks." I thanked the guard and quickly ran back to the nurse's office. I told her what the guard had said. We went back to the elevator and got on. I prayed that Mr. Goldstein would be up.
On the eighth floor, the floor nurse said, "I think he's still in the day room. He likes to read at night. He's a darling old man."
We went to the only room that had any lights on and there was a man reading a book. The nurse went over to him and asked if he had lost his wallet. Mr. Goldstein looked up with surprise, put his hand in his back pocket and said, "Oh, it is missing!"
"This kind gentleman found a wallet and we wondered if it could be yours?"
I handed Mr. Goldstein the wallet and the second he saw it, he smiled with relief and said, "Yes, that's it! It must have dropped out of my pocket this afternoon. I want to give you a reward."
"No, thank you," I said. "But I have to tell you something. I read the letter in the hope of finding out who owned the wallet."
The smile on his face suddenly disappeared. "You read that letter?"
"Not only did I read it, I think I know where Hannah is."
He suddenly grew pale. "Hannah? You know where she is? How is she? Is she still as pretty as she was? Please, please tell me," he begged.
"She's fine...just as pretty as when you knew her." I said softly.
The old man smiled with anticipation and asked, "Could you tell me where she is? I want to call her tomorrow." He grabbed my hand and said, "You know something, mister, I was so in love with that girl that when that letter came, my life literally ended. I never married. I guess I've always loved her."
"Mr. Goldstein," I said, "Come with me."
We took the elevator down to the third floor. The hallways were darkened and only one or two little night-lights lit our way to the day room where Hannah was sitting alone watching the television. The nurse walked over to her.
"Hannah," she said softly, pointing to Michael, who was waiting with me in the doorway. "Do you know this man?"
She adjusted her glasses, looked for a moment, but didn't say a word.
Michael said softly, almost in a whisper, "Hannah, it's Michael. Do you remember me?"
She gasped, "Michael! I don't believe it! Michael! It's you! My Michael!"
He walked slowly towards her and they embraced. The nurse and I left with tears streaming down our faces.
"See," I said. "See how the Good Lord works! If it's meant to be, it will be."
About three weeks later I got a call at my office from the nursing home. "Can you break away on Sunday to attend a wedding? Michael and Hannah are going to tie the knot!"
It was a beautiful wedding with all the people at the nursing home dressed up to join in the celebration. Hannah wore a light beige dress and looked beautiful. Michael wore a dark blue suit and stood tall.
They made me their best man. The hospital gave them their own room and if you ever wanted to see a 76-year-old bride and a 79-year-old groom acting like two teenagers, you had to see this couple.
A perfect ending for a love affair that had lasted nearly 60 years.
Handwriting on the wall
A weary mother returned from the store, Lugging groceries through the kitchen door. Awaiting her arrival was her 8 year old son, Anxious to relate what his younger brother had done.
"While I was out playing and Dad was on a call, T.J. took his crayons and wrote on the wall! It's on the new paper you just hung in the den. I told him you'd be mad at having to do it again."
She let out a moan and furrowed her brow, "Where is your little brother right now?" She emptied her arms and with a purposeful stride, She marched to his closet where he had gone to hide.
She called his full name as she entered his room. He trembled with fear--he knew that meant doom! For the next ten minutes, she ranted and raved About the expensive wallpaper and how she had saved.
Lamenting all the work it would take to repair, She condemned his actions and total lack of care. The more she scolded, the madder she got, Then stomped from his room, totally distraught!
She headed for the den to confirm her fears. When she saw the wall, her eyes flooded with tears. The message she read pierced her soul with a dart. It said, "I love Mommy," surrounded by a heart.
Well, the wallpaper remained, just as she found it, With an empty picture frame hung to surround it. A reminder to her, and indeed to all, Take time to read the handwriting on the wall

then i took the train home yo and i walked home. so i walked for yo 5 mins in the sun yo and reached my house and yo when the lift door yo was going to close yo then this cute little girl yo in a pink poofy dress yo and 2 cute ponytails yo stepped into the lift yo and she said "wait a little while (yo) my mummy (yo) is coming (yo)" and her mummy stepped in yo and the little girl was like yo "mummy why this jiejie don't have a mummy" and i what like what yo? funny little girl and I laughed yo and the girl's mummy yo said "jiejie's mummy is at home" and the little girl yo said yo to me yo "why you keep your mummy at home" wahahahaha soooo cutee!!

Alright 109, life has been good so far? xD Yes. Time really flies , I miss orientation. PSL session and House prac. is over ): That was the only things I could look forward to every week! I'm sure many do not agree with me but ohwell, my thoughs D: NOMOREE. Nothing more to look forward to ): Life's going to be so mundane and boring now :x Other than with 109 luh, YAY [; Can't wait for Open House. OMG, broadcast to our juniors to come RGS kay? (: Hahaha, my friend said we always have same Open House Day as them, steal potential NY students hehhhehehe (: Hehhehh, I just realised our OH always clashes with one another! Hellohh 109'10FTW!. :D hahaha it's Sunday and i hope you enjoyed your weekends although there was a bit of homework and mugging to do. D: ohwell, it's Term2Week9. So fast and it'll be last week of Term2! (: we should have a party to end of first semester. :b hahahaha. :D
We could have a petition or something to see if people will be able to make it to the party. We can use the food that we've got in our class locker, everyone bring a little more, i get my mom to prepare somemore cooked food or something and then we can all go to this huge nice place i had my birthday party last year to have our classparty! :b then we can play music and take photos and play games. :D and maybe I could bring down my Macbook and everyone watch some drama or something. (: besides, this will make up for the fun many of yall missed on the day of HOUSE PARTY AND CLASS PARTY! ;)
I had a great weekend, catching up with sleep and doing cool meaningful stuff. :b but now i've got Frenchrevision too and i ate icecream so i swear i'm not going to be able to run tomorrow's 2.4km. D: grrgrr.

bahh, I'm whining again ): I wish there'd be less homework and the teachers would understand us more. Hey 109'10! :D i loved today's house party and class party. (: it's a great way to end of our housepractices and PSLsessions. (: but quite sad that no more PSLsessions. D: i would've loved housepractices so much more if they didn't eat up all my tennis trainings and wonderful saturday long sleeps. ):
Awman, maybe we'll all start missing it hahaha. :b anyway, I hope it ends of well with SportsFest and OpenHouse being a success. :D
On the bright sideee, we took many nice photos and had much fun. Not forgetting OUR PPAs for this semester are all over whaha. :b thanks everyone for your support yayy! (: I love 109'10. :D

Hey 109'10! :D are yall devestated over all our assessment marks like meee? ): don't be, I figured we tried our best and we will all try harder and do better next timeee. ;)
Now, what's important is a break! :D I think we've all been working very hard and everything and definitely should have a well-deserved break. (: don't keep studying non stop, life's more than just that. Life's about tumblring and facebooking and doing volunteer work and having fun in school with friends and going out with your besties to hangout! and listening to justinbieber and reblogging pretty pictures and searching for motivational quotes and dancing to good music like no one's looking and singing like no one's listening and chatting to your classmates till it's midnight. :b

Hellohh 109'10! :D TGIF, it's the weekends all over again and soon we'll be facing our Biology PPA and Math GA. :D don't worry, it'll be done in a whilst. ;) just try your best. I figured that in RGS, the exams and assessments are never ending like they come one after another, so it isn't like after one series we get to relax for a period of time like before or in other schools but more like no rest at all. So cherish the weekends. :D and I borrowed this book full of exciting things you can do to make yourself happier whaha. :b although I still strongly recommend listening to justinbieber and visiting mine and Isabel's tumblr! ;) ...but I'll constantly post inspirational and motivational stuff for yall anyway. :b
So here's today's:
1. First let's find out if you're depressed! D:
- You're depressed if...
a. you often feel sad and anxious
b. you feel worthless and/or guilty.
c. you're easily irritated.
d. your appetite has changed drastically.
e. you don't enjoy things you used to like to do.
f. you have little or no energy.
g. you sleep too little or too much.
h. you have trouble concentrating/ making decisions.
i. you have violent outbursts/ trouble with self control.
j. some people think you're loud and obnoxious.
k. you skip school or have dropped school activities.
l. you often have headaches or other aches.
m. you feel hopeless about the future.
n. you think about death, suicide or harming yourself.
Okay, so I don't think anyone in our class is THAT depressed but here are some things that works whether or not you're depressed anyway. :D
2. Survival Tip 1#
-take a break "rest is not a matter of doing absolutely nothing. rest is repair."!
here are some ways to relax:
a. take a nap
b. read for pleasure
c. call a friendd
d. breathe deeply and slowly
e. listen to your favorite relaxing music (no sad songs, preferrably Justinbieber)
f. daydream
g. doodle
h. tell yourself positive things like "I can feel better"
3. Survival Tip 2#
- have some fun "laughter is the shortest distance between two people."!
a. you can go be social - attend a sporting event @ school or in your community, have a party and invite close friends and people you'd like to know better, get a football game going with your neighbours
b. other ways to feel good - buy yourself a present, write down five positive things about yourself (you can ask a family member to help you come up with some), buy a joke book and memorise a joke to share (hahaha i do that alot), read the Sunday comics and cut out cartoons that make you laugh
4. DID YOU KNOW?
- when a depressed teen says "I want to die," all of u need to hear "I'm feeling so alone (helpless, hopeless, worthless" right now that it's unbearable. I can't think of any way to escape these painful things than die." Usually suicidal people are so focused on emotional pain that they can't think of anything good about themselves or their lives. They want to live but they need help coping and considering ways to solve their problems.
- a person who threatens suicide feels desperate and is asking for help. rarely does anyone plan suicide without giving clues of some kind which are very subtle.
5. Final Survival Tip
- feed your spirit "look at yourself every once in a while and point out all the things about yourself that you like. self-esteem- that's really the most important thing."
- you need to feel proud of who you are and what you're trying to do, you need to want yourself to win.

Yay weekends are finally here and let's make use of this last weekend before another hectic week to rest well but also study(: for bio PPA. and probably formath GA too. and don't eat too much and grow so fat that you can't run 2.4 for PFT next friday>.<) but then its not as impt as bio ppa and math ga...so even fail its not too bad(: anyways there's a retest.
heh today we got back our chinese and bio papers and i know lots of people are delighted at their performance^^ yayy good job for those people. those that are not very happy about their marks you can still 加油! the exams are over anyways (except for bio) so don't dwell on it. just make sure you do well for all the rest of the exams(: you'll do well. and anyways 109 will always be there for you to cheer you on^^ its not the end of the world or smth. heheh. just focus on being happy. then you won't be too stress and start dropping hair or later all your hair grow white O.o eeks
whee anywaysgood luck for the everything next week (bio, math, 2.4 and blahblah). be happy(: (hah if you want i can think of more jokes although they're not very pure)
